The programme/project aims to introduce the Malay names of items, such as produce, and traditional games to children. Several activities will be conducted to achieve this. For example, children will match the Malay word for mangosteen, “manggis”, found in the printed word to the correct fruit. Another activity allows children to learn the process of how items in traditional games such as five stones, or “batu seremban”, are made. Through these activities, participants can learn the Malay words of the items used to produce five stones, such as “kain” (fabric), “benang” (thread) and “beras” (rice).
