SYNOPSIS

The objectives of this activity are to enhance pupils’ written skills, to instil the love for Malay and to enrich and transform pupils’ learning experiences through games.

Our department in Horizon Primary School has created an enriching learning experience incorporating multiple intelligences for our pupils that support written language mastery through play. Through this project, we hope to instil the love of the Malay language among our students by leveraging their ICT skills.

The 3D-Hive game was developed as a tool to help the pupils retain their learning of grammar components, thereby enhancing their written skills. Pupils will control the game’s avatar in a virtual kampong while embarking on various grammar quests in order to earn points. Other gameplay elements incorporated include National Education, Social and Emotional Learning and school values to infuse character development in the learning process.

Teachers are able to monitor the level of their pupils’ participation from their scores at the end of the game.

SINOPSIS

Aktiviti ini bertujuan untuk membina pengalaman pembelajaran yang menerapkan kecerdasan pelbagai untuk membina kemahiran penulisan melalui teknik didik hibur.

Melalui projek ini, kami berharap agar perasaan cinta akan bahasa Melayu dapat dipupuk dalam kalangan murid-murid dengan memanfaatkan kemahiran Teknologi Maklumat.

Permainan 3D-Hive ini direka oleh jabatan kami sebagai alat untuk murid-murid mengukuhkan pengetahuan bahasa sekaligus meningkatkan kemahiran penulisan mereka. Dalam permainan ini, watak seorang budak lelaki yang meneroka kampungnya menjadi plot utama dalam pengalaman pengembaraannya. Dalam pengembaraannya itu, dia cuba untuk menyelesaikan pelbagai cabaran bahasa. Elemen-elemen dalam permainan ini juga diterapkan dengan nilai-nilai yang terdapat dalam pendidikan nasional (NE), pembelajaran sosioemosi (SEL) dan nilai-nilai sekolah.

Guru dapat memantau pelibatan murid menerusi jumlah mata yang terkumpul pada akhir permainan.
