Raised on a literary diet of Enid Blyton and Judy Blume, Ms Sharon Ismail grew up wondering why the stories of people in our lives were not captured in books. Sharon’s curiosity resulted in a passion to get these voices heard, especially by our children, who have benefitted from a diversity of cultures in their lives and cannot imagine the adults they love as children. Sharon is an educator from primary to university level, and acts and hosts for stage and television. To date, she has published three books: What Sallamah Didn’t Know, The Ghost with Dirty Feet and Makan Time!, an English/Malay picture book.
